What Is Supervised Visitation? | | Supervised visitation is when an entire visit between a child and noncustodial relative is supervised by a third party. This also includes monitoring the custody transfers.
| Purpose of Supervised Visitation | | Supervised visits help maintain relationships within the birth family, while empowering birth parents, helping family members face realty, and allowing birth family members to learn and practice new skills and behaviors. Visits matter because they help children express their feelings and relate better to foster parents, which may calm some of children's separation fears. It also gives children and foster parents the chance to see the parents. | | Hours of Operation:
